The headquarters of De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB) in Amsterdam is being renovated. The DNB building on Frederiksplein is now 60 years old and has reached the end of its technical lifespan in parts. Therefore, a thorough renovation is needed.
Stevens Van Dijck, along with fellow Laanbroek Schoeman consultants, is responsible for construction project management. In addition, Stevens Van Dijck is responsible for identifying user amenities to be included in construction.
The project objective is to realize a modern, future-proof, open and transparent office building, with an accessible public section. DNB’s ambitions for sustainability are high. As a minimum, DNB aims to achieve both BREEAM Excellent and WELL certification and further to apply the principles of circular construction to the greatest extent possible.
During the renovation, DNB employees will be housed in a rented building near Amstel Station. To make this building suitable for use by DNB, a remodeling plan was drawn up.
