Last Friday, June 2nd, Klaas Knot, President of De Nederlandsche Bank, opened the new Cash Center in Zeist. The DNB Cash Center is a symbol of innovation and state-of-the-art technology, seamlessly integrated into the surrounding nature with a focus on sustainability. The Cash Center stores a portion of the Dutch gold reserves. Additionally, it serves as the beating heart of the currency sorting and distribution function of De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB). The Cash Center is located on the Camp New Amsterdam military site in the municipality of Zeist. The realization of the project began in mid-2019, and the building was completed in September 2022, followed by the interior design and relocation process.
