Realizing a great building together
A successful collaboration begins with the realization that you desperately need everyone involved to achieve a good end result. Second, that building is a celebration and that enjoyment in work causes people to give their best. So working together is not only fun but a “must”! Working together also requires respect for each other’s points of view, personal interest and willingness to help each other, but also daring to provide counter-play without sacrificing the most important motive: ‘To create a fantastic building together!’
Dream project: the Kuip
I consider myself fortunate to have had the opportunity to work on very ambitious and complex construction projects for over 25 years including, most recently, the renovation of the Binnenhof. But if I close my eyes and look to the future it would be great if I get to work, in my own city, on the renovation or new construction of De Kuip!
