Over 1,500 studios and apartments have been built in Amsterdam Southeast under the name OurDomain Amsterdam South East. The housing is for young professionals, students and young people studying and working in Amsterdam. Given the current housing shortage, the arrival of the complex is very welcome and breathes new life into the Amstel III neighborhood. Stevens Van Dijck was responsible for the process and contract management of this extensive new construction project.
The 1,559 housing units are divided into three different buildings, each with a different architecture. Attractive amenities such as a supermarket, restaurants and a gym have been built in the plinth. Behind the buildings is a green inner area intended for relaxation and meeting, and this forms the passageway to Holendrecht Station and other amenities.
Stevens Van Dijck ensured that the Design & Build contractor elaborated and realized the design in accordance with the contractually described technical and qualitative principles (the demand specification). In addition, as the delegated client, we were the contact point for the contractor and supervised the realization of amenity spaces, access control, parking management, site layout and more functional components.
